About Me
Hi there thank you for checking out my offerings!
I’m April, an embodied movement facilitator, sound healing practitioner, and trainee psychotherapist, sharing my work through private 1:1 and couples sessions, retreats, studios, events, & workshops, across the UK and abroad.
My work is rooted in a deep love for movement, connection, nature, astrology, sound and the mind–body–soul relationship. I’m passionate about creating spaces that feel safe, nurturing, and deeply human — spaces where you can slow down, soften, and come back home to yourself.
My yoga journey began in my early twenties as a way to reconnect with my body and inner rhythms. What started as a personal practice gradually became a way of life, shaping how I move, breathe, relate, and care for myself. Today, yoga is something I live and practice daily, and something I feel deeply called to share.
My teaching blends slow vinyasa, hatha, yin, restorative yoga, somatics, and yoga nidra, with an emphasis on embodiment, nervous system awareness, and intuitive pacing. My approach is trauma-informed, compassionate, and non-competitive, inviting you to meet yourself exactly where you are. This philosophy carries through my 1:1 and couples yoga sessions, which are personalised and responsive, offering space for both support and exploration.
Alongside yoga, I offer sound baths and private 1:1 sound therapy, drawing on years of dedicated training. From March through to December, I hold 1:1 sound therapy sessions from my narrowboat in Knowle, Solihull — a calm, intimate, floating space designed to support deep rest, nervous system regulation, and emotional balance. Using gongs, crystal bowls, and drums, these sessions offer a gentle invitation to slow down and return home to yourself.
My work is also informed by my academic and therapeutic background. I hold an MSc in Psychology of Mental Health & Wellbeing (First Class Honours) and am currently training as a psychotherapist, with qualification expected in 2028. This allows me to hold space with depth, sensitivity, and care, honouring both the psychological and somatic layers of healing.
I’m deeply passionate about retreats and private sessions as containers for rest, reconnection, and meaningful transformation. Whether you join me for a class, a private session, a sound journey, or a retreat, my intention is that you feel supported, seen, and gently guided back to yourself.
When I’m not holding space for others or psychotherapy training, you’ll usually find me pottering around on my canal boat in Knowle, immersed in the quiet rhythms of water and sky. I love delving into Hermetic astrology (a type of sidereal astrology), psychology, foraging, tending to my own daily movement and meditation practice, and playing with my instruments…fueling a slight (and joyful) obsession with crystal bowls and tuning forks. I’m happiest watching the birds, cuddling animals, in the ocean, wandering in nature, reading, and sharing simple, spacious moments with my lovely partner, family, and like-minded friends that keep me grounded and inspired.
I look forward to welcoming you in soon. With love, April x
